Rained Out….

or not.

I hadn’t really been inspired to shoot lately. Many things in my life have been piling up. Piling up in my house and distracting me. I am not a very tidy person, but I like things tidy. If that makes any sense. Hey, if it does, please explain it to me. Anyway, when my life is in disarray, I don’t feel like shooting. Sucks, but it’s a fact of life. So I started to get things in order a bit and what happens? A storm. Ha. Of course. I did get a shot before the rain actually started. Now let me preface this by saying that there is a way to make the photos flow and the words wrap around the photos…Deej did it, he showed me. It looked really nice. I obviously didn’t pick up on it. So yeah. Also, you know, you can click on the photos themselves and they get bigger. heh. Alrighty. So yeah. I was just sayin’. Please continue…if you are still reading.

But that was all I got. Not very thrilling. I do sort of like it anyway.
And……Then it rained for about 2 days straight and I was left with nothing to shoot. Unless anyone wanted to see the inside of my house becoming less disorganized. I didn’t think so. I puttered around for a bit and I thought, why let the rain stop me from shooting…..I mean besides the fact that the lens on it costs more than the camera itself and I wouldn’t want to damage it in any way. So I improvised and took some photos of the outside from the porch. I say, I am a genius. I say that with sarcasm. Did you pick up on that? My smart friends did. You know who you are. So yes, I did shoot a little from my porch, daring, I know.

it's rainy!

I thought I got a cool shot or two. Better than nothing I say. And I should keep in practice and I should try to keep up this blog if I want people to keep coming back. It’s lame to have the same thing sitting up here for days. Which reminds me, I should put something new up at Flickr too. That same “No Cameras” photo has been there forever and it’s lame. But before I go here’s one more shot from my awesome shoot from the porch.

Now taking this one actually did get my Walter (name of my 24-70mm lens) a little wet…but it was just drops, harmless drops. I’m sure they had to be harmless.
Ok so thanks for coming, I just needed to put something up here and I have had limited material. I saw the sun for a little bit this morning (at like 7AM…why was I awake? don’t ask) but it has since left behind the clouds again, more reports of rain. I don’t mind it though. I actually love it. So yay for me :)

Finally…..

I seriously doubt anyone was out there with bated breath waiting for me to start this thing up but I think it’s ready to go and as soon as I find a niche of time I will begin to work on this here bloggie.  I hope it is a source I can turn to and utilize more often.  However, you, or rather, I will have to be patient because it may take awhile for me to get in the swing of things again.  Plus, I haven’t been feeling too inspired.  But I will promise that an effort will be made to keep this up to date and semi-interesting.

Let me use this first opportunity to see if I can get my barrings and post a photo in a blog post, as I said, I’m still getting used to this new format.  Before when I had a blog it was at blogspot which was like blogging for dummies….so easy.  This requires a few more brain cells, though Deej has gone ahead and actually made it quite Kat-friendly.  So let’s see if it’s as easy to post a photo too.
